Breakfast in rather impressive surroundings...
Back to our room...
...where..
...I'd left my recorder, erm, recording...
The view from our window...
A short journey to the park and ride and parking...
...and walking to said ride...

...we proceeded into Cambridge...
...and spent the majority of the day, wandering around all the college buildings, most of which did not allow entry - some though, did and were splendid inside...
We enjoyed "the Backs"...
...before moving round to "the Fronts"...
Eventually, we stopped for coffee...
...at Benets...
...opposite this...
Onwards...
Lunch comprised small salads from Marks & Spencer, post having bought 3 CDs at Heffers (part of Blackwell's Books) - they had an excellent 2nd hand section - a book each in Fopp and my having secured this month's The Wire, complete with "The Wire Tapper 60"...
We walked to where we'd parked last night and enjoyed a snack by the river...
Then, further walking around the town, gardens, more colleges etc...
Finally, we took the bus back to the Park & Ride and drove back home...
Then, after a short rest, out to Grantchester for drinks in the garden at The Red Lion...
C'mon the ants...
Then some research re burgers back at HQ and a drive back into Cambridge to Doppleganger for some tasty plant based dinner...
...followed by a constitutional...
...and back home again to the bar for drinks and reading...
Today's acquisitions...
It was not late and we were back at our room in time to score 150 on "University Challenge", beating both St Andrews and Cambridge's own Gonville and Caius...
Result...
Once again, ended the day uploading today's pics to save time when we get home proper...
A good day...
More driving tomorrow...
