A dark start...

It was just after 6:30...

...and the skies were good...

Added the two Tubes discoveries from yesterday to the iTunes, got this up to date and noted the latest position re Anne's tiger...

Post breakfast, out and down the hill for the bus into town for some work stuff...

Of course this also entailed a visit to the Bernardo's shop at Shandwick Place...

...where someone had been getting rid of their piano music collection...

...which I was happy to investigate at my leisure at just £1 a pop...

...and did so on my return home, mid afternoon...

Anne was out with Lynn assisting in the set up etc of her son's new house...

I watched an episode of new to us "Reacher" which I think will be enjoyable and might be our next thing...

Unlike "Elementary" there are only 8 episodes rather than 154...

This evening, despite yesterday's injury (an ongoing injury if truth be told), I made my way to the 5-a-sides...

We went 8-1 down within the first 10 minutes...

At 9-2, I picked up the ball at halfway, nut-megged a defender and ran through on goal for a one to one on the keeper - deftly lifting the ball over his protective leg and slowly into the net...

Satisfying and drew a round of applause...

However, that was the extent of my contribution, apart from a few saves whilst serving my rather a long proportion of the match in goal...

And many of the rest of the players kind of do that kind of goal scoring as a matter of course...

In the end , we never made it back and ended up losing by 4 or 5...

And so, it's probable I will fall from pole position in the player league...

Oh well...

Out into the night...

This is the house of privilege at which we play...

Drove home for a shower, the venue for which then had to be fully dried, as evidenced here...

...followed by salmon, chips and peas for tea and a "Ridley", in turn, followed by more news on the state of the government etc...

No one in the media mentioning that Suella Braverman, who had to resign today for breaking the ministerial code, is thick as mince, was hopeless at her job and was completely out of her depth...

Mind you, that goes for most of them (on both sides)...

How did it come to this?

Brexit...

Highlight of the Day : The goal I scored...
