I am now officially on holiday for 10 days...

Yowsah...

The beast on its holidays...

Looking excited at the prospect...

First plays of the day were these wee beauties...

Released to commemorate a visit to Berlin by works from the MoMA in New York back in 2005/6, they comprise 4 discs of top notch 20th Century classical music...

Excellent start to any Friday!

Some chat on Twitter about electrics caused these pics to be taken...

And a Tweet re a 50 year old LP caused me to look up my diary from 1974 to find the day on which I bought it...

50p then is £5 now...

Eventually the EP arose and breakfast was enjoyed...

I compiled a list of my top 100 albums of 2020, so far (6.5 weeks to go) - they are by these artists...

Later on, I revised the list and removed my own five releases...

38 records of fun...

Is having anyone listen to my music and then, hopefully, spreading the word about how good it is, more important to me than money?

I think that might be an “affirmative”...

Being paid for my music is also very nice, of course...

Anne was off out to do stuff, including a meet up with Lynn...

The beast also prepared itself for an outing...

Different hats were tried...

Hmmm...

A bold statement...

Eventually, I chose the most ordinary black one from the ten available...

Down the hill for a bus into town...

A walk up to Tollcross...

This at the BHF...

After a fruitless trawl around, other than that 99p outlay, onwards to Morningside, where I walked the length of this road...

...which provided reasonable pickings...

Two for a pound...

Four for £4...

And, finally, at the very far end of the long road, this for just 50p...

The walk back commenced...

Saw lots of kids from niece Kitty's school but not niece Kitty...

Walked on, past Karell from college's old flat...

...and Barclay Towers, where Capital Models recorded in May 1980...

Eventually jumped on a bus back down to Shandwick Place, with a bag of CDs...

An airport bus along the road and a walk up the hill...

The beast was making its way home in the twilight...

Pre tasty tea it was Prosecco'clock...

...followed by Fajitas...

Then, to recording the links for the podcast, leaving the actual recording till tomorrow morning...

I rejigged the content, adding in the eight purchases from today's trip...

To bed at an unacceptable time, according to the EP anyway...

...accompanied by new incoming via the recommendation of Edward Spark...

Highlight of the Day : Trawling for CDs...
