Well, let's see, what happened today...

Got up reasonably early...

...and to the "workstation"...

A hankering to listen to "Band of Gypsys" by Jimi Hendrix at some point, caused me to add a load of Hendrix albums to my iTunes which were just waiting to be noticed on one of the two big (in memory terms) hard drives, gifted to me by chum Mr Sunshine from that Germany...

However, the first six hours of listening (with a break for some Les Arts Florissants to accompany breakfast with Anne) was the fourth instalment of "Disquietmusik"...

As I familiarise myself with it, I am liking it...

Which is, indeed, usually the case...

Anyway, coffee...

...and then, later, said breakfast, with more coffee...

A break for lunch and, as has been the case for a few days now, we enjoyed the first series of "Man Down" with Greg Davies and Rik Mayall - so funny - a Xmas Special today - tomorrow, I think, on to series 2...

Continued then with "Disquietmusik IV" and, on completing that, onto the next four Random LPs of the Day, including two of my all time favourite albums, took me to tomorrow...

After those, I finally got round to some Hendrix - and read up on the plethora of posthumous releases...

Hmmm...

The records produced by Alan Douglas, where he added new musicians to old recordings and for which took a veritable pillorying, are actually quite good, I think...

Also today, compiled a playlist of all the albums I could find on the hard drives on the Wergo and Col Legno labels...

Like the early Pink Floyd playlist compiled on Sunday morning post the Nick Mason concert on the telly, I have not yet listened...

I'll probably expand this latest playlist to encompass all the weird and wonderful, tuneless modern classical music I can find...

A splendid tea from the EP of Spag Bog...

Yum...

Not the best pic but hey ho - it tasted great...

More music listening, as Anne enjoyed Hearts beating Alloa 3-0 at home and, then, the final of the "Great British Bake Off"...

A young man from Edinburgh won...

And then, "Holby City" - getting back into it - but not liking the introduction of music to proceedings...

Was reminded by Twitterchums of this year's live album by Soft Machine and partook digitally...

Enjoyed some of this, plus some of the weekend's downloads, until now not sampled...

Ended the day with the far out sounds of The Thing followed by the mighty UK...

To bed with their second and final studio album...

Highlight of the Day : Getting to know my new music...
