Awoke with a hankering for the music of Golden Earring...

Their 1973 LP "Moontan", with it's (UK Version) side one trio of "Radar Love" "Candy's Going Bad" and "Vanilla Queen" is one of my all time favourites...

And so, up and to it...

Noting a few things...

The St Emilion stone...

The loose change holding silver cat...

The latest CD acquisitions...

Anne was WFH while I was on holiday...

I realised four Golden Earring studio LPs were missing from the collection and so, they were duly acquired via the wonders of the internet...

I brought this up to date (apart from around 5 days of the last German trip, which continue to languish, textless)...

And commenced an insurance claim to try and retrieve half a thousand pounds...

At lunchtime, we enjoyed the second episode of "Truth Seekers"...

Post a Golden Earring morning, on reading back through each 17 November on here, the entry for 2005 got me listening to an old Lou Reed live album, which then took me down a Lou Reed rabbit hole...

The majority of the afternoon was taken up with continuing to make an insurance claim to try and retrieve half a thousand pounds...

Hopefully it will be successful...

Late afternoon, while Anne continued to WFH, I took a wee walk to the store for some chocolate, as you do...

On the way back, the Mahavishnu Orchestra entered the fray...

Before setting off home, this caught my eye...

The dark was upon me...

Home for a tasty tea involving marinated chicken and zingy salad...

In the evening, stumbled across a video from Rolling Stone in which Alice Cooper talked about the ten records for which he voted in the recent poll for the greatest LPs of all time - which resulted in the list of 500 published a couple of months back, which, in turn, caused much consternation amongst my Twitterchums due to the distinct lack of any progressive rock...

Anyway, here are The Coop's ten, in order...

I already had six, recreated the Beatles and Chuck Berry releases from tracks already included in the collection and added the Stones and the Yardbirds LPs from the hard drives gifted to me by old chum Jorg Sonnenschein...

"Holby City" tonight and it's taking a wee bit getting used to again...

Other than that, ended the day listening to the last recordings of Capital Models pre the lockdown...

To bed around midnight as usual...

Highlight of the Day : Not really working....
