Capital Models - Kind of Live at Club Nitty Gritty

It's Sunday - no long lie though...

The veiws...

I did not touch these today...

Sausages for breakfast...

Shopping for my mum...

Followed by three performances of Beethoven's final piano sonata, No 32, Opus 111 - a Twitterchum is attempting to listen to 111 different renditions...

A "Chuck" with lunch and some painting from Anne, some listening for me...

...before visiting the old lady...

It's going to be hard to celebrate her 90th at the end of the month but I encouraged her to practise getting out of the house - which she did no problem - and back in - with zero help from me other than watching over the situation...

I do not know anyone who is as pessimistic about absolutely every single thing in their life as my mum is...

It's, frankly, draining...

Anyway, a visit to Ali & Julie and wee Harris to discuss said proposed celebration was postponed, as they were house hunting...

Back home - the bees - having happily survived all attempts by Sid the Other Black Cat to capture them...

Back inside, a couple of random LPs of the day...

The Velvet Underground “Scepter Studio Sessions”...

...the only Record Store Day release I’ve ever bought on an RSD (April 2013).

 Cost £18 - that’s £21 in today’s money....

Versions of almost all the tracks from their debut. Top notch!

And then, Fripp & Eno's “Even Spaces”, a 2LP bootleg...

It's the famous Paris performance on 28 May 1975....

Pretty good sound quality but you are, of course, better off with the more recent, official release from DGM....

Still love this record though...

Also today, learned that there’s to be a film on Joseph Boulogne, Chevalier du Saint-Georges - something I’d thought would be good when I first read his biog on the 2 Naxos CDs of his violin concertos I bought back in 2005...

High hopes...

The rest of the evening was spent watching episodes of "Chuck"...

We love that show...

Weekend over...

Highlight of the Day : Getting my mum out the house for a few seconds...
