A day of various, mostly...

Up...

Random record of the day was Udo Lindenberg...

...the 2LP set from his 1978 tour...

...bought in Munich, 5 July 1979 for the Deutschmark equivalent of £4.25 (£21.42 today)...

It was his first live set - I now have nine and we finally got to see him live last year, in Erfurt...

...speaking of which, I took a 45 second double bass improvisation by Twitterchum Tim Webb of Kittery (scene of our American crash in 1999) and did some remixes - two of which incorporate a field recording made in Erfurt last June...

Coincidences...

A 55 minute LP created...

Quite enjoyed that and so some jazz stuff may be in the offing in the future...

But, for now, breakfast...

...with a squirrel outside...

I know I have probably cried wolf too many times now about the back room maybe being finished...

But...the four walls now...

Of course, since then, I have added back the rocking chair, in the vicinity of the CD and amp - I can sit on it with my headphones on, listening to music (as it's close enough not to have to use the long extension lead) and reading a book...

That's the plan anyway - I''ll probably never do it of course...

More views - I amended the front card in the Cage set to No 4, my favourite - due to the inclusion of red...

At lunchtime, "Chuck" continued...

For dinner this evening, Keralan Coconut Curry...

V tasty indeed...

...made using this, suggested by nephew Ali...

...who, coincidentally, just as we were in the kitchen, phoned for a chat...

I advised him my dad used to like this in the early 1970's...

Messages from Creeker Stu about Lalo Schiffrin...

These are what I have - plus some comp tracks...

...speaking of which, an idea for this week's podcast...

...taking a track each from each of one CD from each of these 25 boxes of comps...

Readied...

..and, on listening, sounded good...

Of course, it would mean no room for new acquisitions...

Let's see...

On telly this evening, 160 points (22 questions) on "University Challenge" but Birbek London got 295...

Oh well...

Second again...

More listening for me and painting for Anne and bed around midnight...

Highlight of the Day :  Creating new music...
