Up early and determined not to let Saturday be a washout like last week...

Monochrome scenes...

Some early doors chat re Edagar Froese's annoying propensity for ruining his own (and Tangerine Dream’s) music by “making it better” retrospectively.  Still, I suppose it was his to do with as he wished...

A case in point is the Tangs' 5CD box set, “Tangents”...

...some colour scenes...

Downstairs for coffee...

The squirrel was up...

Back upstairs...

At some point today new back room project, which started in earnest on 29 June, should complete...

Someone asked my how Bandcamp day went and whether I made a mint..

I advised probably not but enough for a box of After Eight mints perhaps...

Truth be known, it went rather well - especially considering "Cage" is my 3rd album release since May!

Breakfast...

Yum...

The squirrel breakfasted too...

Then, out with the EP...

I don't like the sunglasses look but needs must...

Out, initially looking for bees...

...before having to return to the house for my forgotten mask...

Down the hill...

Along towards the zoo, spotting this wee monkey on the way...

He was concentrating on something or other...

Over the road to the cycle path pre the zoo...

...past the "stones of hope"...

...and towards the golf course...

...past the Chinese consulate...

...and Murrayfield...

...to Roseburn...

...and along the Water of Leith

...to the first of two Gormley statues today...

..this one joined by a boisterous dog...

Onward...

...along the waterside...

...and eventually to Stockbridge - and the second Gormley...

A book acquired...

...and a bus up to the centre...

Some pathetic mask attempts on show...

...and some blatant arsefoolery going on...

Shopping at Fopp and some purchases made - then, looking round another couple of establishments...

...before taking the bus back, rather than undertaking another 90 minute walk...

Home...

...with a book...

...and some CDs...

...for coffee and a biscuit in the garden...

...while the 3 year old twins from next door entertained with their playing in their very splashy paddling pool...

Tonight's playlist...

...post a tasty Indian...

...of course...

...also included the LP Keith Apter and I recorded with Kat McKenzie way back in 2013...

...as some moving around and adornment of boxes took place...

...until all was done...

Ended the day with the random LP of the day, from Kraftwerk...

...bought 2 October 1980 - or at least the German version - now long gone - was...

This is a Canadian Import sung in English...

Quite probably Kraftwerk’s best LP - the one where they fully honed their sound and became robots!

So, all in all, a pretty good Saturday...

Lights out...

Highlight of the day : A walk into town with the EP...
