Saturday and up early but no work required on the podcast (other than the upload), having completed it all last night...

A grey day...

..and so, monochrome views...

The canvas was blank...

Podcast uploaded...

...after a listen through to check...

Then, this...

...and so, coffee time...

Today would have been Crispy the Kitten's 36th birthday...

RIP wee monkey...

Yesterday, I worked out the chords for "Please Stay" by the Cryin' Shames, as covered by the Bay City Rollers on their debut in 1974 -  a No 1 album...

...seen here amongst those shuffling today - these from 1972-1977...

In all, there have been around 1,200 No 1 LPs in the UK, of which around 1,000 are studio albums, of which I have almost 300 - 30%, not bad...

I only acquired around 65 of those contemporaneously with their chart reigns though...

Anyway, out and off on a drive to Peebles with the EP., soundtracked by Vol 1 and, later, 2, of the Cloudand Blue Eclectic Selection 2020...

Here's the EP crossing one of the bridges into the town...

...where we wandered around for a while, with me trawling through CDs in various charity shops (no purchases - I probably have enough Brahms and baroque) and the EP deciding against a new top she quite liked...

There was a record fair on at the Masonic Hall but, try as we might, we could not find it...

Tomorrow, when I write this up, I will realise we walked right past it...

Oh well...

Lunch at the County Hotel...

..accompanied by what nephew Craig described on the family Whatsapp as a "bottle of pointlessness"...

The burgers were good...

Out into the sun (cloudy back in Edinburgh apparently)...

...and over the other bridge...

...for a walk along the river bank...

...and farther out of town to find the cottages where Anne and her family spent some happy times holidaying in the late 60's/early 70's...

All now privately owned...

Apparently, this grass has been "let go" - it used to be a manicured lawn...

Anne in front of the place in question...

Final views...

...before walking back to the car...

We drove home via Innerleithen...

...then through Galashiels and back up the A7...

Soon, home...

Salad for tea following on from the burger lunch...

...and a "Chuck"...

...and, of course, a visit from Fang...

Another excellent episode of "Vera" entertained, followed by two of "The Inbetweeners", which we are watching from outset, having never seen before...

That was it...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Peebles...
