It's next Sunday and I'm trying to catch up...

Hopeless...

Anyway, up...

And, while I'm catching up on today six days hence, today, I was catching up on the random records of the day which I didn't get round to paying at the weekend...

Firstly, Pete Sinfield's 1973 album "Still"...

It was only today when playing the vinyl for the first time in a very long time that I realised the CD version I have has the tracks in completely the wrong order...

Chum Sid Smith advised it was Sinfield himself who instigated this when the LP was remastered in the early 90's...

I would opine that the original running order is far superior...

Sinfield rivals Steve Howe as worst prog rock vocalist of all time but I did enjoy listening to this again, with its 8 (including Pete) participating King Crimson alumni...

I set about amending the CD running order...

...making it much better...

Next was this from French synth man Richard Pinhas and his "band" Heldon..

It has a Krautrock feel to it...

Long jams of synth, guitar and drums...

And, finally, today's random choice was David Bowie's "Diamond Dogs...

...bought 15 July '74 for £1.50 (£15.79 today)....

Bowie plays all the guitars (except the funky one on "1984"), having now dispensed with Mick Ronson and the Spiders from Mars, post "Pin Ups"....

His final "glam" LP...

In the post, after a long wait, this disc of orchestral pieces by them Mexican composer Revueltas

..some of which are played by one of my fave orchestras the London Sinfonietta..

Elsewhere, a bird at the feeding station...

The back room remains tidy...

As does the computer room...

...and spaghetti bolognese for tea...

A visit from Fang during "University Challenge"...

...wherein we came third - our 10 pointer tally letting us down this week...

Anne's latest is coming along nicely...

That's all I remember...

Highlight of the Day : Rediscovering Pete Sinfield - and the spaghetti of course...
