More early morning recordings...

...before the drive to our usual place...

...up and out into Dresden centre...

A good breakfast...

...while, outside, a downpour...

This had subsided by the time we'd finished and we walked to the Frauenkirche...

..and in...

A walk up to the roof...

...for some spectacular views over the city (click to enlarge)...

Some music from down below...

Back down...

...and out...

The church was almost completely destroyed in WWII, the story told here...

...on a piece of it which landed here and has been maintained as a monument...

Then, over the river into the "new town"...

..which we also liked...

An excellent market hall...

...first provided water...

...and then, lunch...

..before further exploration...

...which, almost inevitably, led to this...

Oooh, a veritable treasure trove of classical and jazz CDs...

Even the EP took a look (she didn't really)...

Purchases were made...

...before we headed on...

...and down to the newtown bank of the river...

...which afforded good views of the old town...

Then, we decided on a drive to Germany's easternmost town, Pirna...

More alchohol free Bier in the main square...

This wee boy was enjoying some water games...

Time for a wander...

These steps led up to an excellent outlook point...

Worth the climb...

...we could see our drinks stop...

This lovely spot was the scene of Nazi experiments on the disabled and mentally ill...

Fuck me, how could such things happen?

Back down...

It...was...roasting...

The town is often flooded...

...by the river Elbe...

...which was fine today...

Back into the town, looking for a suitable venue for dinner...

...which we duly found and dined al fresco...

Back home at dusk...

...and a massive thunder storm ended the day...

Which was nice..

As was the packed day...

Highlight of the Day : Being above things, twice...
