The view from the office this morning...

...as I left to drive to the nearby superstore for provisions...

...which allowed us to breakfast at home...

...outside in the sun...

...before taking the tram into town...

..for a wander around...

...and a visit to the two churches first seen yesterday...

Up the steps...

...looking back to from where we'd come...

...and into, firstly, not the St Severi Kirche...

...but the cathedral...

Everyone loves a tryptich...

Everyone loves a tr...wait, I've done that...

...and then across into the St Severi Kirche...

Stations of the Cross...

Huge old organ...

Everyone etc...

We all love a ...

Hard to walk around this church without treading on someone's tomb...

Out into the sunlight...

...and into the town...

We did not drink this...

...but made our way past Noah's, where we'd dined last night...

..and enjoyed a cheeky wee ice cream...

...on our way to the Petersberg Fortress...

...with its views...

..and overweight man on a swing...

We walked around the ruins...

...and rebuilding project...

...to a place of refreshment - welcome in the heat...

...and overlooking more renovations...

...and the city...

Mmm, banana weissbier...

...followed by a walk back to the main square...

...past a small vineyard...

..and along Market Street...

...to the famous Krämerbrücke...

Time for a late lunch/early tea at Pavarotti's huge pizza restaurant...

...before heading home for a rest and some coffee...

...and a wee visitor...

I liked our neighbour's house...

At 6, the tram up to the Trade Fair Hall for tonight's gig - the very reason for our trip to Deutschland - and for which our tickets had been bought almost a year ago...

Our gig was on the back of the T Shirt in front...

After a stand of almost two hours, Udo Lindenberg took to the stage with his Panik Orchestra...

...and, for the next almost three hours, entertained the first of two night's sell out crowds to the max...

The stage was always full of action and, indeed, excitement...

Yes that was a polar bear...

Eventually, it drew to a close after a set chock full of our fave Lindenberg songs, fantastic showstopping effects, dancers and a supertight band...

And a thrilling climax followed by Udo's final message...

"Don't panic.  We'll see each other again very soon"...

What a show...

I await the DVD...

A crammed tram back down the road to our house and to bed with more Udo in my ears...

It had definitely been worth the wait...

Highlight of the Day : After 40 years, finally seeing Udo Lindenberg live...
