84 albums dipped into today...

Mainly because I started the day on shuffle and then, took some time to delve into Jorg Sonnenschein's second hard drive, to add some albums to the iTunes - in the end adding over 50, mainly from the "Roxy Music Solo" and "Neal Morse" sections, but some other interesting stuff too...

That was how the morning was spent, with Anne once again off to help her mum re the new kitchen scenario, which was finalised, bar a couple of small items, by around 2pm...

By that time I was sitting in the back room leafing through "1001 Buildings You Must See Before You Die" (quite a decent proportion of which, we have indeed seen), while listening to a new discovery - a four track hour-long Brian Eno ambient album, "Sisters", which was released, unbeknownst to me, as a companion to his last ambient LP, "Reflection", back in 2017...

Anyway, on Anne's return, we drove over to Loanhead with Eno's "My Squelchy Life" on the stereo, doing my mum's shopping and then, arriving at my mum's to find sister Sheila and husband Andrew Snr already there, along with nephew Ali and nephew Andy, the latter with his three boys, Kerr, Wee Dougie and Lachie...

Sheila and Andrew headed off and left us to it with the boys - fun was had...

...including the classic, "let's put Lachie in a bag"...

...which he seemed to enjoy...

Photo time with Great-Grandma...

...followed by Lachie pointing out people he knows...

...including his Great-Uncle...

Then, time to go as Ali headed off for tea at his mum's and Andy prepared the boys for the drive back to Yorkshire...

"Bye boys!"...

Back home, Anne prepped tea with the last of the three very tasty concoction mixes we purchased at Stockbridge market, four weeks ago now, when Jorg and Manu were here...

With lamb being the meat ingredient, it took a long time to become ready and filled the house with a wonderful aroma...

I took the opportunity to record and upload volume 14 of my classical podcasts, inspired by the number of Twitterchums joining the so-called #ClassicalClub, where they post up pics of things they're listening to from the, in the main, relatively small collection of classical recordings they own and comment thereon - it seems they are mostly into large orchestral staples of the classical world...

I am hoping to turn them on to the weird and the wonderful but, most likely, won't...

Meanwhile, tea was ready...

...and it was extremely tasty...

And was followed by tonight's two episodes of "What We Do in the Shadows" and bed...

Weekend over...

Lights out with Lou Reed's Metal Machine Trio, released in 2008 but not heard by me until today...

Highlight of the Day :  Moroccan lamb/seeing the boys/new music...
