Probably my best night all told but still very little sleep...

Up early and getting ready to be signed out...

A visit from Mr P-B and I thanked him for all he and his team had done for me - he advised, on a scale of 1-10, my gallbladder was a 10 on a level of nastiness...

I will wear that as a badge of honour...

I never thought I'd be involved in gangrene...

The view from the office as I waited for Anne to collect me...

Dressings were changed...

And out into the bright November sun....

And home for relaxation - recuperation period up to six weeks apparently...

This had popped through the door in my absence and provided a complimentary soundtrack to relaxation...

A visit in the afternoon from nephew Andy and heavily pregnant wife Tori...

Catching upon some TV, "Dr Who", "New Girl", "Unforgotten" etc etc...

Busy doing nothing...

At nine, "Downton Abbey" beckoned for Anne, so I quickly brought this back up to date re a very strange and, thankfully, happily ended, week..

Very sore, very tired, very happy...

Highlight of the Day : Home...

That's a real horror story, David. Hiccough are so sore when they go on and on. Amazing how they can sort most things out satisfactorally . Onwards and upwards.

Hi Dave, glad the episode seems to be over and you're feeling better (that is SOME SCAR!!). Hilariously, I only found out how bad it was because we were in seeing Bernie for our latest re-mortgage, and I nonchalantly asked if you were in the building. Did not get the response I expected!!

Hi Moira - onwards and upwards indeed. Not an experience I am looking forward to repeating anytime soon. Pass on my best to Lex!
