A nice breakfast with Anne...

Autumn has taken hold...

...and the feeding station remains popular...

Compiling a hit a month throughout the 1990s this morning - might be a bit more of a struggle to find tracks I like as I move forward into the 2000s...

In the afternoon, a welcome visit from old chum Ian Sclater with his 7 month old lurcher, Franco...

Franco expressed an interest in the squirrel at the feeding station...

He's a wee cutey...

Good chat for a couple of hours before Ian left to take Franco for a walk up on the hill. leaving me to mellow out and read some of the music magazines he kindly brought round...

Candles were lit to enhance the mood...

In the evening, a Chinese Takeaway was enjoyed along with "Strictly - It takes Two" (I'm getting sucked in to Strictly this year it seems!) and "Cuffs" and some other stuff which now escapes me...

At 10pm, David Bowie's new single was released onto the internet - it's quite something - a ten minute workout comprising a cross of jazz and vintage Bowie...

He really is kind of out there in a class of his own...

Ended the day with "This Week", on which Andrew Neil made an impassioned opening tirade against IS and George Galloway also impressed...

"Question Time", which preceded it, was the nowadays usual shambles - it should be taken off the air...

Highlight of the Day : Visit and new Bowie...
