As usual on a Saturday, up early - probably too early...

In the living room, the flowers from yesterday...

...and a peony rose from the garden...

In the kitchen, Meg the Black Cat demonstrated her strange new way of drinking from her water bowl...

Weird but nice wee monkey...

Meanwhile, once up, the EP checked this with toast and coffee...

Then, a drive to the picturesque garden centre near Hopetoun House...

Anne was on the lookout for some new plants to add to the garden...

...while I wandered around taking snaps...

Time for a nice slice of apple cake...

...under the sky blue sky...

Along with a goodly number of plants, we ended up buying a table and chairs for the newly slabbed area in the garden...

Home for lunch, with the portable speakers having been searched for and found...

Inside, Meg was staking out her territory on some boxes also brought back from the garden centre...

Back inside, your correspondent fell prey to his stupidly early rise...

Post snooze, time for some tidying, reclaiming the boxes from Meg and putting them to use...

However, my putting together was not what it might have been and a modicum of spillage ensued...

Late afternoon, back outside...

Enjoying the new addition to the garden set up...

The blooms were out...

...as were the snails...

...the drinks...

...and the spiders...

As the sun slipped behind some clouds...

...we retired indoors - to find Meg the Black Cat in the space she'd been occupying for most of the afternoon...

In the evening a mammoth three episodes of "Spiral", some more tidying, listening and surfing, before hitting the sack around midnight...

Highlight of the Day : Sitting out in the sun...

David, I noticed one of the photos of boxes of CD's which look like put into plastic sleeves. I remember you mentioned a while back about replacing jewel cases with plastic wallets. Where did you get them? Barrie

Hi Barrie - good to hear form you - have popped you a mail on the subject but yes, well spotted, these CDs have indeed been transferred into plastic sleeves.

Good to see you're back in the blogosphere
