Another good walking day - yesterday I was fasting too - not today though...
Started off with a walk down to the zoo...
At lunchtime, another walk - this time up Lothian Road to the Filmhouse to acquire tickets for Sunday's matinee of "Therese Desqueroux", a novel I read back in the 80's, having studied Francois Mauriac's "Le Noed de Viperes" at school - said Viper's Knot providing the catalyst for CBQ's "The Crocodile Song"...
Looking forward to that...
To McAllister Matheson while I was up that way but nothing enticed...
On Amazon though, a second hand copy of a 3CD box of the complete Hindemith string quartets did...
More walking on the way home, where I bumped into brother-in-law Bobby, jogging home - it will never come to that for me...
Two deliveries today - the first from Austria, ordered a while back, a single by German faves, Fehlfarben - turns out I already have all three tracks - and a disc by Bad Plus drummer, Dave King's outfit Dave King's Trucking Company, the existence of which I only discovered late on Sunday night - and here it is and it is super duper...
These two discs soundtracked some cooking from Anne as she prepared a very tasty indeed prawn curry - yummy do...
No prawns for Meg the Black Cat though...
She did get something else she likes...
Then, "Spiral"'s final two episodes were very much enjoyed, before doing another wee mix on Virtual DJ - last night I did January's top ten albums, tonight, February - I'll post them up sometime - or possibly over on the "Albums of the Month" blog (see tabs above)...
Ended the day bringing this up to date to the sound of Herr Koenig...
