David Bowie - There is Old Wave There is New Wave
Brad Mehldau - Where Do You Start
Finished off the Bowie discs this morning, the cover featuring the ad campaign around his "Heroes" album in 1977, with its strapline "There is old wave, there is new wave.....and there's David Bowie"...
To Fopp at lunchtime with Bowie in the cans...
Two more Mehldau discs snapped up for just three of your English pounds each - trio recordings from the same 2008 and 2011 sessions on each disc....
Tasty...
On the way home, a text from Anne to advise Meg the Black Cat was missing...
I texted back, not missing, having an adventure...
Flowers bought on the way home to cheer...
However, as Meg's absence lasted longer and longer (she is an old cat who doesn't usually spend much time out and about), the impact of the flowers was dimmed, the impact of a tasty curry was dimmed, the impact of Scotland's improbable 1-0 victory in Zagreb over fourth-in-the-world (Scotland are ranked 74), Croatia, was dimmed - and interspersed with much wandering of the surrounding streets, shaking cat biscuits and uttering the immortal line "Meg"...
On my travels, I bumped into two neighbours who tried to help out by advising of recent cat sightings - both appeared to have been of neighbour Rory Custard rather than our wee black chum...
Eventually, after being away for around 5 hours, Meg the Black Cat was found sitting in the dining room as if she'd been there all the time...
We will never know what she was up to but it was great to have her back...
A celebrationary two episodes of "Spiral" were watched...
Interestingly, during the two independent impromptu meetings with our neighbours noted above, each asked "Do you live around here, which house in case we see your cat?"...
One of these neighbours lives directly opposite Crispycat Towers...
We have lived here for 26 years...
I advised I mostly use the back door...
Highlight of the Day : Meg's reappearance...
