...while reading through many old notebooks of lyrics and lists...
Breakfast at home...
Some booking of a trip in late summer, took some considerable time...
Flight booked, inquiries made re two apartments...
Lunch in the garden...
Out to my mum's...
On good form and improving all the time, though still traces of her pneumonia and positional vertigo...
This, a fossil, presented to her by her favourite (ok, only) son on a birthday over a decade ago - it has pride of place amongst her stuff - it is, of course, unique...
Various chores and tasks undertaken...
Around 5 or so, over to Anne's mum's for the fortnightly family tea - next Saturday we will be celebrating brother-in-law Bobby's 50th - on Thursday, sister Pam should have beaten him to it by two days...
Nephew Olly entertained by testing attendees' knowledge of English football - "Which teams have "ton" in their names?" was the question...
People were stumped...
Nah, not really - such is the encyclopedic knowledge of sporting trivia in the wider family that the list was soon completed...
East Fife and Albion Rovers were chalked off this list last season - the remaining teams are Ayr United, Cowdenbeath, Dumbarton, Peterhead, Elgin City, Annan Athletic, Montrose and Forfar...
Olly took my camera away to take some pics...
This the result...
I see he is a photographer after my own heart...
With Keith, Maureen, Craig and Arianne away, the rest of us, including Rafa the Dog, gathered in the living room...
I tried to get Olly and Kitty not to say "like" all the time or to inflect upwards at the end of every sentence...
It kind of, like, worked?
Kitty very proudly showed me her Instagram page - and posted a pic of us up on it...
And hijacked the camera for these...
My groovy shirt and Tate badge proved a hit, given the family normally only see me dressed in black it seems...
Back home and one apartment will play host to us while the other proved elusive - we have moved on and await further advices...
Weird jazz from the "Destination Out" site rounded off the day and, indeed, the very enjoyable weekend...
