Up early again...

Upon vacating the chair at the PC to head out for the day with Anne, Meg the not so Black Cat was quick to take my place...

Today we were driving to St Andrews, for no particular reason...

The chosen covers, for the gig at the end of the year, soundtracked...

We stopped in Elie for elevenses...

It has some good crows...

..and a good harbour...

More birds - a starling...

..a heron...

...out in the low tide...

...looking for fish...

Looking out into the Firth of Forth...

...and, scarily, down the ladder into the water...

More birds - long billed something or other, no doubt...

..and the weather was gradually improving...

Back into the town...

...back to the car and on to St Andrews...

Lunch at Vic's Bar and Kitchen...

Very tasty...

..and a wee wander round...

...erm, and town gates...

The place was not particularly busy as the sun started to go down around 3:30...

..and the moon was already up...

...and, just before heading home, another heron...

We might have taken in a wind sextet concert by members of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra at the University, featuring works by Beethoven, Webern and others, with Anne's cousin Alison Green on bassoon...

However, I needed to be back in Edinburgh for this evening's Football Fans in Training session...

I didn't have my camera or phone with me as we weren't warned in advance that the Scottish Cup would be with us in the room...

Oh well, not to worry - because old school chum Dave McLaren had his trusty iPhone in his pocket and managed to capture an eyes shut, slightly less overweight than before man, next to said cup...
