Brian Eno - Lux

Despite a two mile walk at lunchtime, my worst total for a Monday since I stared wearing the pedometer...

A lift home in the evening did not help, nor did not going out post arrival at Crispycat Towers for a getting-the-steps-up walk...

I was stuck at the PC for much of the night, having bought too much music over the past few days and not having had a chance to rip it all to the hard drive for distribution to the mobile listening units...

The new Brian Eno album was out today and entered the collection during a stop off at F**p...

"Lux" is the name...

...and I must say it's quite the best thing he's done in ages - reminiscent of his "Discreet Music", "Music For Airports" type of work...

Along with that, five more Glenn Gould discs Bach, Handel, Byrd & Gibbons and two of Brahms...

A top notch day for great new music...

Only one piece of telly watched, Michael Portillo's "Great European Train Journeys" - very good indeed - although, if I had a pound for every time he said his guide book was written in 1913, all of today's purchases could have been "free"...

Lights out...

Highlight of the day : Brian Eno's new album...
