Up reasonably early, feeling a bit better but still kind of choked up...

Surfing the net at http://www.jazz.com/ led to the compilation of a twelve track “critics’ best of” Weather Report and to the rediscovery of a cracking, funky version of The Beatles “A Day in the Life” in the collection, by Mr Grant Green...

Bedding finally back to the attic post sister Pam’s Xmas visits and the opportunity taken to bring down more CD storage facility to the back room, much to Anne’s chagrin...

Commenced the epic task of updating the hard drive CD list with five years’ worth of purchases, plus, eventually, classical discs, various artist compilations, live albums and best ofs...

A long, probably pointless, slog...

Mid afternoon, a quick nip to Tesco for ingredients, having chosen three recipes to try this evening for dinner...

Just over £7 for a three course meal for two – not bad...

More updating as Anne listens to the Jam Tarts crashing out of the cup 2-0 away to Aberdeen...

At six I started the big culinary adventure...

The menu was:-

Baked Egg with Creamy Leeks

Spicy Chorizo Sausage and Spring Onion Hash

Chocolate Banana Fool

The kitchen was a bombsite post dinner...

...however, my efforts were deemed "better than expected" and "surprisingly good" - a success..

Post an insightful behind the scenes documentary on Barack Obama's Presidential Campaign, dishes were done and the kitchen was tidied...

Back to updating, feeling rather full I must say...

No Sportscene tonight, given Hearts were defeated, so lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Cooking dinner solo from scratch...

I refuse to believe that Johnny didn't realise what he was say. Those days might have been more innocent, but there's such a thing as stretching a point. :)

I liked the Obama programme too. Made me miss West Wing, though...
