This morning, Meg the Black Cat liked to watch us from reasonably high up...

In the evening, I continued to add jazz CDs to the list on the PC – almost 3,000 on there now – a couple of thousand to go...

Whilst listening, I enjoyed the funky jazz sounds of Mr Joe Farrell – his “Moon Germs” set from 1972 is highly recommended to fans of Return to Forever, Weather Report and Mahavishnu Orchestra....

So, here we are half way through January and just 3 CDs bought – but I have also been downloading...

Albums picked up thus far include a solo outing from ex-Madredeus songstress Teresa Salgueiro, the latest 10 track free compilation from www.zunior.com and, today, two cracking fusion albums from the mid 70s by guitarist Larry Coryell...

Also partaken of tonight was Pink Floyd’s Richard Wright’s solo LP “Wet Dream” from 1978, last year’s progfest “The Weirding” by Astra and two lovely guitar based albums by new discovery, Sumner McKane...

All tonight’s goodies were acquired via this site which is run by a very enthusiastic Australian, who seems to have similar musical tastes to Mr Quartet...

Having been mightily impressed by the music of Mr McKane, I visited his own website and bought one of just 100 handmade ltd editions of his latest CD “Nanook” – looking forward to that arriving...

Elsewhere today, a visit to FOPP resulted in DVDs of “The Dark Knight” and “Transformers” entering the ever expanding movie collection...

And ordered the latest CD from local singer-songwriter, Jill Hepburn...

And I await CDs by Depeche Mode and Genesis via e-bay...

OK so that’s 15 albums – oh no, I’m back up to one a day...

Highlight of the Day : Downloading new music...
