Up early and did the dishes from last night while Anne went for lovely, still-warm rolls...

Another good breakfast was enjoyed – Ansem partaking of three bowls of Cheerios...

The three musketeers set off around nine thirty (unbeknown to Ansem) for the Record Fair...

We met up with Count Brodski and several purchases were made – Alan’s mainly vinyl, a Keith Jarret box set, some obscure singles and an Alice Cooper live concert CD...

Jorg bought the best of Dream Theater and the best of the Eagles (poles apart) along with a weird Gong related CD of music from 1971 and a Bill Frissell disc..

For my own sins, I also bought the best of Dream Theater 2CD set for a fiver and a 6CD box of baroque music for a tenner – tasty...

A drink at the nearby Standing Order and then a fond farewell to the Count before we walked to Princes St and caught a bus up to a picture shop from which Jorg bought some prints of Edinburgh for his house three years ago..

Unfortunately, he can’t remember how big they were and so needs to consult with Yvonne in Germany before taking things further...

So we popped round to the mosque for a curry lunch, the boy enjoying some tandoori chicken and a nan bread...

Then back for the bus and some entertainment at the bus stop, as anti-Scientology protesters in masks were haranguing the Scientology followers over the road – each group handing out flyers to passers by...

A number 31 to the zoo, where I left Jorg and Ansem and headed home alone to find Anne and Meg the Black Cat enjoying the peace and quiet...

Lovely coffee mid afternoon with Anne then she was off to babysit sister-in law Jane and husband Bobby’s two kids, Ollie and Kitty while Jane and Bobby were out on the town with brother-in-law Keith and wife Maureen to celebrate the two ladies’ birthdays which are coincidentally 10 October...

I ripped the new CDs and, at 7pm or so, by chance checked the back door to find Jorg and Ansem had just arrived...

A splendid time had been had at the zoo then a visit to Tesco and to Oddbins – incidents at both venues as Ansem had managed to (a) knock over a shelf of goods at Tesco and (b) knock over a whisky display in Oddbins...

Luckily no breakages in either emporium...

So now it was up to me to provide dinner and it was pizza time – a salami pizza, a mushroom pizza and yellow pepper pizza were expertly (kind of) prepared...

A bit of a contretemps between Ansem and the grown ups as to what was acceptable behaviour and what wasn’t, ended with him screaming at the top of his voice and stomping off to his room from which then emanated much wailing and crying and banging of feet on the floor...

Meg was not impressed...

Kids eh?

After some work from Jorg (only after we’d finished the pizzas of course), all was well again and we watched “The X Factor”...

Ansem retired and Jorg and I chatted in the living room whilst enjoying some of his days’ purchases...

Anne arrived home around 11:30 and all was well again at Crispycat Towers...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Record Fair with Jorg and Brodski...
