Home alone tonight as Anne was off out with chums Debbie and Chris...

Cooked my own tea – let’s just say it wasn’t as good as Anne’s cooking...

Upstairs, and amalgamated recent jazz albums, sent to the Music Room from the Living Room Shelf by new purchases, into the main body of the kirk...

Updated my Blue Note discography list with new purchases – I have almost 200 Blue Note CDs...

Then, inspired by my early listening today of Fripp & Eno and by the recently released remastered double CD of “(No Pussyfooting)” I decided to create my own version of this new issue of one of my favourite albums ever...

This involved working out by how much to pitch shift “The Heavenly Music Corporation” to have it sound as if it’s being played at 16rpm as opposed to 33.333rpm – the way I (and it seems many other people) used to back in the mid 70s, when turntables were built with four speeds, 16; 33.333; 45; and 78...

Then, I applied “reverse” to both “Swastika Girls” and “The Heavenly Music Corporation” to recreate the legendary error of DJ John Peel who, supposedly inadvertently, played both tracks backwards on his late night radio show...

And there we have it, “new” Fripp and Eno – each these three tracks open up a whole new perspective on this worrying but, ultimately, beautiful music...

That was fun - and, even though I've done this, I'll probably still buy the new version, just for the extended booklet...

Now off to play taxi...

Highlight of the Day : Fripp & Eno reworked...
