A post dinner trip out to Loanhead tonight to meet up with my mum and two sisters, Pam (up from England on holiday) and Sheila, who came down from nearby Penicuik…

Silence on the way as the CD player in the Cloudland Blue Mobile is on the blink - hopefully covered by the warranty with my nemesis of the automotive world, Mr Arnold Clark - but that’s for another day…

Pam regaled us early on with stories of her and mum’s weekend in Pitlochry, most of the laughs being at mum’s expense of course, in relation to her wheelchair use, including her ability to just get up and out of it and walk around at any given time…

Sheila meanwhile had tales of a recent car crash which could have been very serious indeed but turned out not too badly, though her car, while still able to be driven, is now virtually worthless, as, what Sheila would get for a write off is less than she would need to buy any sort of roadworthy vehicle…

The incident involved aquaplaning, skidding across a normally reasonably busy road (thankfully empty at the time), careering up an embankment and crashing through a farmer’s fence, taking out three posts on the way…

A passing motorist helped get the car back on the road, bumperless, a bit smashed up and covered in wealds from the barbed wire fence…

Hairy…

Of course Anne and I couldn’t really match any of these stories, as you will be painfully aware if you are a regular reader of this drivel…

Back home through the rain and finally got to hear a new CD which arrived today, almost a month after being purchased on e-bay, “Floating Point”, a jazz-fusion stormer from former Mahavishnu main-man, John McLaughlin…

Great album - rubbish cover - there's a theme to explore perhaps - however, inspired by Sid Smith, I am currently compiling some “tasty trios” which will shortly be posted for your enjoyment…

Probably the usual suspects but it’ll make a change from the dreary daily diary…

Highlight of the Day : Family get-together

It's not dreary, it becomes quite addictive after a while. Keep it up. (not the music lists, just the general chat...) Moira
