Rained all day again today...
More King Crimson music wise – rather apt as I made my way to FOPP to purchase Tangerine Dream’s “Atem” and “Zeit” for Crimson biographer and current video diarist on the band’s 40th Anniversary American Tour, Mr Sid Smith...
Managed to get the last copy of “Zeit” in the shop...
Also picked up another Donald Byrd Blue Note title, recorded in May 1967, “Slow Drag”...
Tasty...
Also procured tix for Queen of the South's UEFA Cup game next week - result!
Back home and Macclesfield Craig had popped The National’s excellent album “Boxer” in the post to me...
Another great album and I am indebted to Craig for bringing this band to my attention...
Late evening and, after spending some considerable time (to no avail) trying to fix the PC so Anne could view the Hearts website properly, it was off to Ikea for a new pillow for Meg the Black Cat, her last one having been soiled in, what appears to have been, a fit of pique whilst she holidayed at Castle Brodski...
I was dismayed to find a very lacklustre collection of CD storage items in the shop which has previously, almost single-handedly, furnished my extensive collection...
Homemade beckons...
Then to my mum’s for a visit, during which she advised where she’d left details of all her stuff plus biographical notes for her funeral – ulp!
Of course she’s just well organised – she was looking as well as ever tonight and was in excellent form...
I expect her to live till 100...
Back home more National and Donald Byrd whilst writing this drivel...
Downloaded a track from the upcoming Byrne/Eno album - oh lordy yes...
Highlight of the Day : Discovering The National
