Up at 7 after a restless night and off to Arran around 8:30...
By 10 we were in a little eatery near the town of Dalry called Graze. We texted Brodski and Penny and they joined us, having been maybe 15 minutes behind us on the road...
After a good ferry crossing we arrived at 1 pm on Arran, which presented us with a snow-covered Goat Fell...
...and finally found our house in Lamlash around an hour later...
We made ourselves comfortable and noted the various wildlife – seals and herons in the bay at the end of the garden, and got stuck into some champagne, wine and beer...
Around 6 we walked into Lamlash – our landlord had advised a 10 minute walk but it was actually three times that...
More drinks at the Aldersyde Hotel one half of which comprised the Taj Mahal Tandoori Restaurant...
Of course a tasty meal followed, then a walk back home under a brilliant display of stars...
Once back in the house, my attempt to watch “Match of the Day” was thwarted by sleep...
