Up early...

...and suffering badly from ongoing back and chest pains - no doubt due to a recent new pillow arrangement - some experimentation may help matters...

Till then, painkillers are coming in handy...

A morning of which much was spent sorting out iTunes re slightly amending the way in which multidisc sets are displayed - a laborious task...

In the afternoon, I constructed the new shelves bought a couple of weeks back for the attic...

...and watched bits of both cup finals - Falkirk unlucky against Inverness and Arsenal eventually thrashing Aston Villa...

My favourite tea - spaghetti bolognese - with carrots...

Tea time too in the garden for one of our big pigeon visitors...

In the evening, out, through a beginning to bloom garden...

,,,and to Sheila & Andrew's to celebrate Andrew Senior's birthday...

Much fun...

...followed by some phone fixing...

Nephew Andy was up from his new location in Yorkshire - the band is on the skids...

...and Cassie the Dog is learning to live without her wee chum Ben the Dog, who left us earlier this week...

But a new life is on the way too and I will be a Great Uncle to a second wee person later this year...

Nephew Ali arrived from the cricket field...

...in his much admired beamer...

Andy wonders where it all went wrong...

But wait till Ali has kids...

Back home later on and a good "George Gently" enjoyed...

Finally, just before writing this up and hitting the pillow experimentation inclusive sack, some pics of the "new" back room, taken with the found on a shelf Samsung, abandoned at Xmas for the new Fuji...

Saturday over...

Highlight of the Day : Quiet day at home, family get together at night...

Up early and some almost final organisation re the classical A-Z composers and all box sets...

Sorted...

Still these to deal with though...

Sunny today...

...or rainy - only a few minutes between these pics...

Later in the afternoon, hailstones as June approaches...

I recall it snowed at our school on 1 June 1975...

Here, a contemporaneous report...

By the time I was heading home, we were back to a summery outlook...

A tasty Indian from the Curry Club and some "CSI" and "Big Bang" before doing the final sorting, accompanied, of course, by the Trumpets of Satan...

I think I may be finished now...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : The sun coming back out...

Looking down then up then down again...

Playlist
Various - Albums Acquired 1972-1982
Abba - Gold
Nirvana - Nevermind
Ulrish Schnauss - A Starngely Isolated Place
Ulrich Schnauss - Far Away Trains Passing By
Fretwork - Portraits

Looking down initially this morning as the walking continued...

Then, up as I made my way down the hill...

...and down again...

Up at lunchtime...

...and straight ahead on the way home...

...having purchased these two discs for just one of your English pounds each at the local cancer hospice supporting charity shop...

A couple of the Abba tracks are ones I'd happily never hear again, namely "Thank You For the Music" and "I Have a Dream" - however, I do wish I'd written them....

Despite owning a record shop throughout most of the 90's, I'd never heard "Nevermind"...

It was pronounced "quite good" and quite a few of the tunes sounded familiar...

With Anne out for a get together with Lynn, I took the opportunity to start the final reorganisation of the CDs...

A spreadsheet was created to try and work out what should go where...

It seemed to work...

Doesn't look like much has changed but rest assured it has - still some work to be done...

Taxi duty, "This Week" and bed...

Highlight of the Day : Organising...

My mum's new "unwanted call blocking" phones await charge up and installation over the weekend...

Once again, more walking and, once again, less eating today...

This a view from the bus stop at the zoo...

The Creepy Coop...

Back home, I have recently found a list of LP, CD and cassette albums I owned as at around 1988...

I am trying to figure out how best to merge it with my list of album purchases created from my contemporaneous diary entries between 1972 and 1983...

This is how I waste my time...

Having enjoyed Captain Beefheart yesterday, today, or this evening, with Anne out for a belated Mother's Day dinner with Jane and their mum, after cooking some quorn based spaghetti and watching two episodes of "?" (the programme about Angels and Demons etc* whose name escapes me in an "I'm almost 60 you know" stylee), I gave "The Faust Tapes" a spin...

Originally bought in 1973 for just 50 of your English new pence if I recall correctly - Gong's "Camembert Electrique" was snapped up for just 59p the following year - it seems I have always bought stuff because it was cheap rather than because I actually wanted it - but that's how I make discoveries...

The Faust LP was weird then and it's weird now - the difference is, now it's actually quite enjoyable...

Lights out with Faust...
