Eisbrecher - Schicksalsmelodien

Up and decided to release my work re Lockie's piano piece...

Glasses...

...on...

...and to work...

A new mix made of the main 7" version of the track, adding Lockie's piano as an intro...

Uploading and adding all the notes etc...

Done and released at 8am...

Scrambled egg roll as a breakfast treat...

It was getting stormy...

Anne has been complaining about the TV for ages so today we bought a new one, which will arrive in around a week...

I researched whether I might use the old one as a Computer Monitor...

We'll see - it's probably far too big though...

It got even more stormy...

We needed to do this...

Some listening to new music acquired this morning...

Gaspar Claus, FKA Twigs, Mogwai and Matt Berry - all good...

And singles brought in late last night - Tate McRae, Aitana, Nessa Barrett and Eisbrecher - then, filling all the gaps in my collection re the last of those - and adding even more re a Dropbox delivery from Prog Rock Willie of Mike Portnoy's fave 2024 LPs - Red Kross, The Warning, The Lemon Twigs and Category 7...

Home made soup for lunch...

As we watched Father Brown, just when we thought we might get through the storm unscathed, a rumbling from the roof and two ridge tiles came flying down and sliced into the lawn - just as well we weren't sunbathing!

Pics taken post their removal...

A call placed to a roofer - we await comeback...

It got even more stormy...

Watched some vids on YouTube - "Live on KEXP" - so many great sessions on there, stretching back 15 years - I was particularly taken with the musical prowess of the band English Teacher...

Anne was cooking up something nice...

Kung Po Chicken - very tasty indeed, even though it did not remind us of King Po Chicken...

Listened to English Teacher's album and another new thing from this morning, Jesper Zeuthen Empty Pocket Sextet and dipped into some Lully, Schnittke and Rameau, while Anne enjoyed "Coronation St"...

Then, the return of "Astrid", on which "Patience" is based...

Post that, upstairs for some #CDFriday listening to jazz compilations to take me through till bed time...

...noting how ridiculous my very, very good sounding headphones are, look-wise...

Not to worry...
