Tuesday time...

An hour after rising, I had completed the mix of a new, more ambient version of the long untitled abstract piece, created yesterday with stems from Pedantic Pedestrian...

This gave me eight pieces, two long and four short by me and two medium by Mr MintyPP...

The new version of the proposed album sent to said PP for review...

Edward Spark opined he liked the second long piece even more than the first...

This week's podcast also uploaded...

I decided to revert to more conventional covers...

Breakfast...

Look at these wee guys - definitely an influence on "Gremlins"...

Porridge with yoghurt...

A visit from Fang...

...and, on the one day he decides to stay, he can't, as we're both going to be out...

Poor wee Fang...

Off over to Loanhead for a viewing at 11...

A local man, with no car, who is looking to move to get away from horrendous upstairs neighbours...

We'll see...

By the time it was done, I wasn't going to get home in time to get changed and make it to the 1 pm football...

A lunch at Ikea of plant based "meat" balls, mash and peas and then, on the way home, a stop in at FourSquare and some more things purchased at 30p each, although with "The Best Air Guitar Album in the World" being a doubler, 33.33p each this time...

Some listening in the back room to Bach and Mozart...

...before moving to the computer room to rip and further listen...

What was Anne up to I hear you ask...

Well she was out for a very long, very leisurely lunch with chum Debbie, just back from a two month tour of the far east, including Japan, New Zealand and Australia...

Almost tea time by the time she came home...

And so, Mr CBQ was cooking solo tonight...

Spring onion, chopped cabbage, sliced yellow pepper, chili flakes...

...frozen veg, Quorn mince

...and, the piece de resistance, Tomato Soup!

It was extremely tasty - I suggested I could make it for an upcoming visit from Impossible Songs...

Anne did not agree (albeit without tasting my fayre)...

Late on tonight, two more mixes came back from PP, taking the project to a final tally of ten tracks (even though, at this point, I'd not listened to the two new pieces)....

What I was listening to, was this...

...of which the finalised version needs to be recorded by April, for its release on Record Store Day...

This year's covers LP will feature Bowie, ELO, Alvin, Eno, Bad Co, Lou, ELP, Beatles, Bread, Ferry, Heep, Roxy, Essex, Sinatra, Kraftwerk, Kiss, Quo, Monkees, Osmonds, Elton, Alice, T Rex and Elvis…

Whilst listening, I enjoyed a peruse of this book, a guide to an early nineties exhibition at the MOMA in New York......

Also tonight, both episodes of this week's "Silent Witness" watched and, indeed enjoyed, with very few nitpicks - it seems, this year, they have upped their game somewhat...

Highlight of the Day : My cooking...
