...and into the car for another drive into Kassel...
Our target was this - the Herkules Monument...
After a drive around the environs, we arrived at the car park behind the monument and walked up to it - a place where, back in the 90's, we enjoyed quite a few New Years's Eves...
Here some views from the top...
Then, we started the long climb down the steps...
...beside which some water would shortly be flowing...
There appeared to be money in the pools...
Onwards...
...until, eventually, we reached the popular spot from which the upcoming spectacle could be viewed...
...and waited for the commencement of the water works...
Here it comes...
Sadly, the spectacle w hi-jacked by a couple of activists who put green dye in the water and managed to get access to the falls to raise their banner...

Oh well...
We made our way further down...
The Quartet...
...and waited for the fountain to spring into action as the waters from above gradually made their way down to the lake at the foot of the hill...
A heron entertained...
...as did some ducks...
As did Jorg...
...and a dragonfly...
And then...
Action...
At 50 meters/160 ft high, the Great Fountain was the largest fountain in Europe at the time of its creation in 1767...
With the water works over, a walk to the bus which took us back up the hill to the car park...
A drive to Fritzlar and Roma da Enzo for pizzas all round...
...while Anne contemplated unrequired plastic surgery...
...and beers and wine were also enjoyed...
Home and down into the cellar...
...for a look at Jorgs record collection...
It has to be said that it looks almost exactly as it did just over two years ago...
He needs to get his ass in gear!
