Up and checked out...
...and onto the tram to Schokochino...
We pushed the boat out on our last Berlin breakfast for a few days...
Omelets ahoy...
Then, another tram, to the Hauptbahnhof...
The platform was so super busy...
So much so that, eventually, the police had to decide who got through and who didn't - passengers had to be within 5 minutes of their train leaving to gain entry...
Happily the train was on time...
and we got on and found our seats with zero problem...
A relief though...
...as we pulled away, settled...
Goodbye to Berlin, for now, from the scabbed man...
A trip across the centre of Germany...
...to Kassel Wilhelmshöhe...
...and a wait for the next train...
...in the direction of Bad Wildungen...
Anne was excited...
Almost 44 years ago to the day, I first made this 30 minute journey...
I was back on the track...
...through Rengershausen...
...Guntershausen...
...Edermünde-Grifte...
...Wolfershausen...
...Altenbrunslar...
Until, at last, the Heiligenberg came into view...
...signaling our arrival at Felsberg-Gensungen (previously known as Gensungen-Felsberg)...
...where we were met by Jorg and Manu and our visit to the Sonnenscheins was underway...
Up the hill to the house...
...for beers in the garden...
...and Jorg's signature Butter Chicken with creamed spinach, bread and salad...
Time to relax...
Late on, to bed, where the scabbed man became the descabbed man...
Looks not to good to be honest...
But nothing I can do...
Lights out in the attic...
