Looking slightly better every day....

...and swithering over a very good coffee machine...
...which would, of course, be a costly extravagance...
Jorg reckons we might go to Bad Arolsen...
...but it's probably too far away...
Meanwhile, back in the basement...
There is a second room - where very expensive hi-fi equipment is gathering dust...
Out and into the Jorgmobile...
...for a drive through the countryside...
...until we reach our goal...
The team...
Beautiful scenery as we parked near the castle...
...and made the short walk to it...
Sadly, the ski lift that could, later, have taken us down to the lakeside, is out of service...
...but we noted the lake below...
...as the climb to the castle continued...
The esplanade....
...afforded excellent views...
...and featured cannons...
The rest of the team...
There was a gift shop (no purchases)...
More mucking about...
...then, back to the town square for soft drinks by the fountain...
...noting old trees...
We drove around the lake and found a parking spot...
...from where we walked to the Eder dam - one the dams destroyed in the Second World War, flooding the surrounding plain, including Felsberg...
Lunch from the Imbiss...
...was followed by a walk over the re-built dam...
...from where the castle was visible...
...and, then, back again....
...and a further drive...
...back to Fritzlar, where we met up with Ansem...
...and enjoyed drinks in the market square...
...and, then, home...
...past the Kirmes at Rhünda - which had kept me awake on Saturday night till around 4am - even though it must be over 3 miles from Jorg's house...
It was on the same football field where we saw Ansem and his brother, Teja, win at football last time we were here...

More grilling tonight...
Teja's girlfriend, Clara was also along...
After the kids left, we talked into the night...
...knowing that, tomorrow, we'd be on our way back to Berlin...
Also today, on my phone, I found this old message from music buddy Edward Spark...
...which was nice...
