Anyway, back onto the tram and to the Hauptbahnhof for another planned trip...
However, our target (Frankfurt and der Oder) was not possible due to track works...
So, off we went to the city of Cottbus, 90 minutes from Berlin...
...on the Frankfurt an der Oder train (which today ended at Cottbus)...
We noted return journey times...
...and took this as there were no maps available in the Tourist Information office...
We walked into the town centre, one helpful passer by having wondered why we'd want to visit "the old town"...
Hmmm...
Onward....
...and, eventually, we found it...
And it was rather nice...
As ever, into the church...
...and out again...
Lunch in a mall...
It was rather hot...
We were, indeed, in East Germany...
...but our wandering soon found us in the environs of the modern art gallery (which we did not enter)...
...but the park within which it stood was lovely...
...and it had a peaceful beer garden too...
Post beers, onwards over the river...
...and ice creams were secured...
...followed by further walking...
..and, finally, a bus back to the railway station...
...for a quiet trip back to Berlin...
...and a tram back to the hotel...
...where the damaged nose was inspected once again...
...before we headed out....
..and round to Tomsky's for beers...
Tomsky scenes...
...back to the place with the molten lava pasta and we both opted for kebabs tonight...
Anne managed to spill her sauce on her trousers...
A tram into the centre for a constitutional...
...and another back home...
...and the end of day 4...
