Scant pickings on yet another New Music Friday (see below)...
More rehearsing today following the feedback between me and Impossible John last night re the session...
I will play bass on 10 of the, now, 38 songs across the three sets...
It was, as ever, early...
Breakfast...
...and I decided to redo the ambient LP created yesterday, shortening the tracks by removing around 18 minutes of "between pieces" field recording based stuff...
And so I have bonus tracks!
At lunchtime, I managed to damage the kitchen work surface with a knife while cutting cheese on a piece of plastic...
Very depressing (First World Problems)...
A call from Leith Dockers' Sarah, asking for some posters for the 25 May gig...
Duly created, based around this...
Out and over through town - good chat and the distinct possibility of more gigs there (if we go down well on the 25th)...
In the charity shop on the corner, this for £1 (and a Nilsson CD I already have...)
Home via our old street...
...and to rehearsing, creating a mock up of the sets and running through the first two, using both guitar and bass, as per the plan...
A break for tea...
...then, back to it and the third set done...
Not too bad but I still haven't sung along with playing the bass...
Felt like a Saturday or a Sunday today but it was, as noted here, Friday...
Some "Monk", of course...
It had been another good day...
Highlight of the Day : Encouraging Dockers feedback...
