Up, so dark I couldn't even see what time it was...
...but I new it was Friday, which means new release day and garnering a few things which, inevitably, would cause the shortlist for the weekend's podcast to be amended...
And it was new release day for Crispycat Recordings too...
For other people's new stuff, it was slim pickings time though (see below) - but a wee lesson in how I discover new to me stuff (see also below)...
How I discover?
I was looking at LPs added today in 2014...
Stoner jazz LP "Plymouth" by Plymouth was particularly good I recalled (confirmed on listening again)....
But I couldn't find anything else by the band...
However, thanks to Discogs showing the line up, I was now investigating each of the members' further careers...
Yowsah!
Breakfast by Anne - much better when your scrambled eggs are scrambled by someone else - and some one else who has the masterstroke of adding a wee bit parmesan to the process...
Last night too, with the relegation of the old clock to the floor and, then, by me, it's promotion to the living room wall, old chum Eona Aiken's two (of three) portraits of Crispy the Kitten were now allocated two new pride of place places...
In the afternoon, recording the new slimmed down to 20 tracks from 30 tracks, podcast - an hour shorter...
Followed by tasty Keralan Chicken Curry...
Podcast posted early...
