To the desk around 7:25...

...and some work done, including on the Fripp & Eno project and a rehearsal for Newcastle, before heading to my mum's to take her to the dentist in Penicuik...

Parked, took her in and left her to it...

The beast was about its business in the charity shops of Penicuik...

A call to take me back to pick mum up and we drove to The Steading, luckily obtaining quite possibly the only unbooked table in the entire place - it was packed...

Mum was pleased with her Ginger Beer & Lime...

But, of course her "small portion" of fish & chips was still too big, in her opinion (she scoffed the lot)...

My haggis was top notch...

Here, some pics demonstrate the comparative ease with which she enters and exits the vehicle taking her here and there (despite her mantra of "I can't do it" - I know if I don't help her, she does do it, and she does it admirably)...

Post lunch...

Back home...

She asked me later what I'd done with the grill on her cooker...

Erm, there is no grill on her cooker and there never has been...

I took these to show her the relative tidiness of the "new" set up...

Home to rip and listen to the new acquisitions...

I fished out my Vivaldi collection - you can't have too much Vivaldi...

Here is the haul in detail...

£1 each...

Vivaldi concerti...

2 more CDs of Vivaldi concerti - East German recordings from the time of the DDR...

An album covering the U2 LP (quite probably their best) "Achtung Baby"...

Gregory Porter - despite my knowing there's no place for vocals in jazz...

Jacques Loussier but, sadly, recorded in the 80's with his second trio...

A 2CD set of lovely Bach Cantatas...

A quid for each of them...

Result...

And to cap all that off, a lovely chicken and leek pie from the EP...

Fang popped by...

Perhaps he knew...

...that these were his last goodies for a while as...

...shortly after these were taken...

..he pished on the living room wall and was chased out of the house...

Anne rehung a painting in the porch after much palaver re the hook etc...

Then, Luna the Guest Cat arrived for around a 10 day stay, which means Fang is banned for the duration...

She's a well-behaved wee cutie of course...

On telly, "Teenage Bounty Hunters " came to an end - with another never to be resolved due to cancelation cliffhanger..

Oh well...

Highlight of the Day : Arrival of Luna...
