A good Sunday started at 10 to 7, as I wrote some of this up - but I'm doing it in reverse so won't be published for a couple of days...

A reminder to myself that I listened to a CD yesterday which won't have been recorded in my iTunes re "Playlist"...

Always annoying trying to keep the playlists true to what happened when I have to remember manually what I played - compounded by the fact that stupid Apple will not import playing stats from my phone...

Of course it's all pointless, like most of, if not, indeed, all of what I do...

A decision was made, based on Anne's idea, that we should remove the badly put up splashback and have Andy Warhol in its place...

Masterstroke!

Packed up and ready to go post a quick porridge and coffee...

Away at 8:30 over to the other side of town to pick up keyboardist Paul at his place...

We were expecting delays re some stupid cycling thing taking place today - in the event, streets were empty and we were almost 50 minutes early so we diverted to Sainsbury to do my mum's shopping...

Arrived around 10 to 10 for today's rehearsal, our first without guitarist Stu since the end of 2017...

It went surprisingly well, despite initially spending inordinate amounts of time on just a few songs, meaning the 1st session of around 85 minutes produced just 20 minutes of music and 5 songs...

If you look closely you will see the whole quartet is in this pic...

Break time...

...was cake time (once again I forgot to bring a piece home for the EP)...

Much discussion as to whether we need to expand again to a quintet...

The second half of the day produced 3 times as many songs and 50 minutes of music from the same length of playing...

And so, a top set of 20 songs was "in the can"...

To my mum's - where around 80 minutes was spent trying to teach her how to delete a programme from her Tivo Box once she's watched it...

Success, I think...

And home...

With Anne off out to do our own shop, I set about editing the session...

A break to watch "The Good Cop" - one episode to go (canceled after one season) and "A Spy Among Friends" - one episode to go...

Then finished off the session edit and listened back...

It's actually very good indeed - quite probably keyboardist Paul's best ever session and drew me to the conclusion that we can move forward as a quartet...

Which leaves things open for guitarist Stu should he want to return...

Some Lou Reed enjoyed...

Late on some new music partaken of - I just can't resist...

Weekend over...
