The morning after the night before...

...and, rather than go back into Newcastle, we walked to the car...

...and drove to Morpeth...

...enjoying a top breakfast at Harry's...

Coffees plus sausages on rolls for a fiver each...

Then, a look around the town, including a few antique emporia...

This sent to Sid Smith, of Whitley Bay...

I think these are the type of soldiers I had as a young boy...

...and, politically incorrectly ij today's terms (but not the 1960's), I no doubt had a gun or two like these...

Boxes of LPs up the back were looked through in the vain hope of finding Mott the Hoople's "All the Young Dudes"...

The back shop of another antique place - rather more messy...

...and, in the window of yet another, a reminder of me and Brodski on Arran in 1976, getting drunk on Drambuie and smoking black Russian cigarettes and falling off our bikes with laughter...

Morpeth was indeed a nice wee town...

And I always like it when a charity shop's  selection of LPs include some owned by my mum and dad back in the day...

I was tempted by this Father Ted book...

...but ended up only buying an old Quentin Jardine title for my mum...

On to Alnwick...

...and, in the Oxfam shop, 3 CDs snapped up at 99p each - souvenirs at last...

We had hoped to enjoy fish & chips at Seahouses for lunch but could not find a parking spot - so we drove on and stopped in the tiny village of Belford...

In the Well House Coffee Shop, a hard copy of an old Art Mag from Ian Sclater graced the racks - it was from 2019...

,,,but their sausage rolls and tuna rolls were freshly made...

While we drove, we kept an eye on Queens, at home to local, kind of, rivals, Annan...

Once again they went behind...

And once again, they came back - this week, to 3-1, to go 2nd, on goals scored...

Home and new ear buds awaited - top notch!

Look how pleased I was with them....

Then, to ripping today's acquisitions...

Berlioz...

...and Scriabin at the BBC...

...and, fish & chips from the Bar B Q scratched the earlier in the day itch...

Some "Star Trek"...

Holiday over...

Good times...

Highlight of the Day : Morpeth...
