Morning, Wednesday morning...

Starting the day quietly, with Brian Eno’s “Discreet Music” at half speed. An hour of fun...

Breakfast, once again featuring Quorn...

Some catch up to do re the Random LPs of the Day - counting today, I am eight behind, so, over the course of the day, I listened to eight LPs...

109/313 Francoise Hardy "La Maison ou j’ai grandi” (Vogue, 1966). Like many items in my Hardy vinyl collection this was bought sometime in the mid 80s. 12 songs from her mid 60’s prime, including Morricone’s “Je changerais d’avis” possibly my fave FH song...

110/313 Udo Lindenberg “Rock in Deutschland Vol 2” (Telefunken, 1980) bought 17/10/80 in Kassel for £3 (£12.81 today) A nice cross section of his early work, including two single only releases. 40 years ago. Aargh...

111/313 Roedelius “Selbstporträt” (Sky, 1979) the first of 3 volumes. Again bought in Kassel 22/11/80 £3.20 (£13.55) understated and with the odd bum note about which Hans Joachim obviously didn’t care. Me neither. Classic...

112/313 Alice Cooper “Special Forces” (Warner Bros, 1981). One of his “lost years” albums, which actually stands up pretty well. Bought on release 8/9/81 for £3.74 (£14.42)...

Complete with contemporary photo secreted inside...

113/313 Alice Cooper “The Collection” (Warner Bros, 1982). A collection of Coop hits plus 2 tracks from “Special Forces”.  9 of the 12 tracks are by the original band. Telling...

114/313 King Crimson “Starless and Bible Black (Polydor, 1974) Not an original, given the move from Island by EG. Bought 7/1/82 for £2.99 (£11.17). An absolute corker of an LP. No one knew much of it was the band overdubbing onto live recordings from ‘73...

The Exec Producer had been to M&S for her mum and brought back a goodie drop for the beast...

115/313 Die Ärzte “Debil” (CBS. 1984). Bought at Tivoli in Kassel on a visit there in the mid 80’s. This is a punky party album from one of Germany’s best selling bands of the era. I still pick up their recordings today when I see them around. Rockin’...

116/313 Last of the 8. Musici Moravienses “Hindemith Krenek Milhaud” (Supraphon, 1977). Bought 7/7/18 for £2. That’s £2.09 in today’s money. Delightful bargain...

At then end of the WFH day, I relaxed to the sound of a CD bought 10 years ago today...

...while we waited for nephew Ali to arrive to repair the boiler, having been without hot water all day...

Top man...

Meanwhile, Anne's latest is on the cusp of completion...

Post a tasty prawn pasta tea and a "Chuck" (our second of the day), upstairs to the back room...

Random CD of the Day No 1 came from Box 275...

CD 19, The Orb. Tasty...

Random CD of the Day No 2 came from Box 181...

CD No 23. Esbjorn Svensson Trio.  Also tasty...

The scene...

New CBQ album “Beethoven”, following on from “Satie” and “Cage”, will be released on Friday on Bandcamp - not with this cover though...

Following one final episode of "Chuck", I headed to bed with it in the cans...

Highlight of the Day : Playing records all day...
