Awoke to cows and seilbahn...

Out post tasty breakfast from our hosts...

Down to the lake...

..and on to one of the first boats of the day...

...and away we went...

...past the Christlieger island...

...with our target in the distance...

...and our temporary home behind us...

A good commentary...

...and the recorder was at the ready...

...for the trumpet performance which shows off the superb echo qualities of the surrounding mountain walls...

Almost there...

...and, after a 50 minute trip, here we were again, again, after seven years away...

Our boat sailed off...

...and we just relaxed and took in the views and the atmosphere...

A walk round the shore of the lake...

Some stones were selected as souvenirs......

I chose this one at first but it was eventually deemed "too big"...

...so these were acquired instead...

...from here...

Back to the church...

...the church's view was this...

Time for some coffee and cake...

...and a wave to our readers...

Then, we walked in the other direction...

A stick attracted me...

...and soon, much to the EP's chagrin, it was floating off on the lake's surface...

Back...

...and into the church for further views...

...and then, some fish on some bread...

More views...

Eventually, after around four hours, we boarded the boat back...

Some final views, which will no doubt end up on a calendar at the end of the year...

The journey back is quicker, taking around 30 minutes...

Once again, ice cream tempted...

We had ensured our mountain and lake trips took place early in our visit, as inclement weather was predicted to be on the way...

Back home, we sat on the balcony as clouds rolled in...

...and the house cat gamboled in the meadow...

Field recordings were made...

...and beers were enjoyed..

...as was music which I bought on my first visit here, 46 years ago...

With the predicted stormy weather not materialising, we took a stroll again to the far side of the lake for dinner...

...which was, of course, yumtastic...

Then, the weather started to turn...

Suffice to say we got completely soaked to the skin (despite an umbrella) on the way back to the house as the thunder and lightning and torrential rain finally arrived...

But we were happy nonetheless...

Highlight of the Day : St Barthomoma...
