A welcome wee visitor this morning...

Tiger the Cat, making himself very much at home....

Nothing to report other than that a trip to the BHF shop resulted in the purchase of three CDs at £2 each - see below...

Cloudy but interesting on the way home...

Listening to the short listed tracks for the podcast as the rain started to pelt down...

Home, just in time to avoid a soaking...

The birds were enjoying their tea as we enjoyed some home made soup...

In the evening, we watched Scotland v Spain in the Women's Euro Championship (Scotland won 1-0 but Spain went through - Scotland needed to win 2-0 - same old story) with the sound down - which is, of course, the best way to watch footie on the TV...

Whilst doing so, we chatted and, in a rare joint listening session, took in today's new acquisitions in the living room, which included about to become pianist in the Bad Plus, Orrin Evan's disc from 2002...

...the second disc by "New Girl" star Zooey Deschanel's She & Him...

...Czech singer-songwriter Marketa Irglova's debut - which, it seems, I must have borrowed from somewhere, as I found it was already on the hard drive when I went to rip it...

...and, finally, this Blue Note disc of American singer Stacey Kent, sung entirely in French - which is probably what makes it good...

Of course these now had to be added to the playlist for this week's podcast and so some juggling of tracks took place...

Late on, two episodes of the previously referred to "New Girl" as it heads to its double episode series conclusion next week - this has been one of its best seasons since it started back in 2011...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Listening to music with Anne...
