A day away from the computer...

Listening initially to two downloaded albums from Bandcamp...

Finally shaved my head, for the first time since setting off for Bordeaux three weeks ago - and gave my face a shave too...

I thought it might be time to step outside...

Other than recording some leaves...

...this was a big mistake...

Anne drove us down to the bottom of the hill and we parked perhaps 50 metres from the chemist where a prescription - for a further large consignment of painkillers - was to be fulfilled...

I could hardly even walk that short distance due to the unanticipated pain...

Funny how stepping outside brings home how ill you really are...

A proposed coffee shop visit was cancelled and we returned back home immediately...

Then, while Anne went shopping for provisions, I relaxed and recuperated once again - to Rush's "Clockwork Angels Tour" on DVD - mighty impressive...

In the afternoon, a welcome visit from Dr Prog...

...during which time we shot the breeze, listened to two of his recent acquisitions, some UK jazz from 1965 and my last LP...

And he had a wee go on the bass guitar...

Meanwhile, sister-in-law Jane and niece Kitty also popped by for a visit...

This evening, a tasty hot lamb salad from the Exec Producer...

Yum...

Friday night comedy fayre rounded off the day...
