Up early and writing up yesterday, a particularly eventful day with lots of pics - which takes a while...

Enjoyed a few of the songs from last night's Eurovision - the chances of me ever listening to any of them ever again is remote...

I'm fairly sure that, back in the 70's I never imagined that, 40 years on, I'd have a small gadget in my pocket able to contain every note of music I purchased over a decade (and that said music would only have taken up a small proportion of said gadget's capacity)...

Or that I'd have a phone which would hold the last 75 or so albums I'd bought...

Or, indeed, that I'd get to the unmanageable stage of buying more albums in a year than there are days in a year...

(I am cutting back though)...

Breakfast at home then, back into the attic...

Bobby and Olly came round - Bob to drill a hole in the porch wall for Anne to install a hanging basket - Olly along for the ride...

Olly came up into the attic - I did not know he had not known Anne and I were once Record Shop proprietors - he found that "cool"...

Today the old Atari computer we once used in our enterprise was taken to its final resting place...

...along with the shells of two further computers - on which much of my music since the turn of the century was recorded...

Though not their final resting place, this is my last sight of them - and of all the stats and records from the shop - why did I keep it all for so long up in the attic?

Because I am a sentimental idiot...

Metaphorically, we all end up in a skip...

In the early afternoon, some planning and accommodation booking for the Canadian trip later this year...

Visits to both mums today, showing both ladies our pics from the Holland trip...

But not taking any further pics...

Home and "Atlantis" came to an end - with cliffhangers which will never be resolved due its cancellation...

So it goes...

Eventually, everything is cancelled...

Highlight of the Day : Chucking stuff in a skip...

Cheer up man. Look to the future. Things get recycled and are given new life, something is cancelled then something new takes it's place.
