Some purchases today at Fopp - Back Beats' "Soul Time" - mid 60's / early 70's independent tracks from the likes of Brunswick, Constellation, Dakar etc - tasty!

Back Beats' "I Get My Groove" - late 60's / early 70's crossover soul from the USA's deep south - 26 slices of hidden talent...

Disco Discharge's "Euro Disco" - rather aptly for this weekend, a 2CD set of Euro Disco which followed in the wake of Abba's Eurovision success in 1974...

And, finally, filling a wee gap found in my listings of LPs I bought in the 70's, the Who's finest hour (or 44 minutes plus some bonus tracks)...

Elsewhere, work was being done with some rather corrosive materials...

Out this evening, for no particular reason...

To the Oak, for the first time in many years - last time we entered it was like one of those movies where a cowboy enters a saloon, the piano player stops and everyone looks round - this time it was acceptable...

Then, next door to the St John's Curry Club, for the first time since a family night out in 2002 when planning a trip to Rome for Anne's mum's 70th birthday...

Extremely tasty and, next time, I will not order quite so much...

A constitutional back up the hill accompanied by the Trumpets of Satan, where, firstly, this wee monkey followed us for part of the way, seeking attention - and duly receiving it...

Then, a ginger monkey looking for more of the same and also receiving it...

Other monkeys were also seen but from a distance...

Home as the sun set over Crispycat Hill...

So far this year I have purchased 111 albums...

It sounds a lot but in 2013 by this point I'd acquired 178 and, last year 228 - so I am definitely cutting back!

Lights out with the Trumpets of Satan...

Highlight of the Day : A wee night out...
