Up early...

Coffee to start the day, as I brought the red book of CDs I own up to date...

Still much back pain...

Some downloading this morning of new music - as featured in the playlist...

At 11, off to my mum's, initially to install her new phone system which will block unwanted calls...

Always good for an old lady to have that facility...

Then, a drive to Paisley to see her old chum Pat...

Some walking from the auld yin...

...and the lift up to Pat's apartment...

...which affords this lovely view...

A quick chat then Anne and I left them to it...

A walk...

...to Gilmour St Station...

...and to Glasgow...

...Central Station...

...at which point we split up, with Anne heading off to purchase things she likes while I had a look round Fopp - partaking of a few choice items - and Missing where nothing enticed...

Then, to Mono...

...where a tasty 2CD set of King Tubby was snapped up...

Out under the sun...

...which soon turned to rain as we met up...

...and then to sun again...

Back to Paisley - this cafe must have been here when I lived in the city...

I said goodbye to the cathedral in 1966...

Back to Pat's for dinner and some chat, including the whereabouts of my birth...

"Homelands" on the Great Western Road apparently...

I was once interviewed by a newspaper re my 5 favourite records of all time - at that point it was Alice Cooper's 1972 single "School's Out", Fripp & Eno's "No Pussyfooting" album, King Crimson's track "Starless" from "Red", Yes' "Awaken" from "Going for the One" and The Velvet Underground's debut LP (probably still is to be honest)...

Anyway, I was asked some background questions too, including where I was born - I gave the name of a hospital in Glasgow which turned out not to exist - the interview was published without the facts having been checked...

Journalists eh?

Around 8 we set off for home...

The Exec Producer was in charge of pics...

Brenda Lee's "Coming on Strong"...

I was in charge of retrospective treatments...

Some ripping and loading for listening of the acquisitions...

Top jazz...

Top soul...

A cheeky wee box of The Edgar Broughton Band from 1969-1973...

Some mostly not that great as it was recorded too late reggae...

Some does what it says on the cover...

...and the aforementioned King Tubby set - now that's what I call reggae...

All this was followed by the watching of the highlights of Motherwell's triumph over The Rangers - 6-1 on aggregate - leaving Scotland's newest club in the Championship for a second season...

Oh dear...

It's for the best - they need time to build - after all, three years with the second highest playing staff budget in Scotland is obviously not long enough...

May away...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : A trip to the west...
