Awoke with Mr Bowie on the cans...

Moved on to my own stuff, not listened to much recently...

Was convinced I had a podiatry appointment at 7:45...

Of course it was 8:45, giving me time to listen to the whole of "Riverleaves" before leaving the house just before 8 with the 10 track CBQ Bandcamp Sampler in play...

Later, this gate would be painted by the Exec Producer, at this point though she remained asleep...

A cat and a crow...

Down towards the town...

...past the church...

...and the zoo...

...and the road to Anne's mum's...

In the distance, the cathedral...

Past the tennis club...

...the Chinese Consulate...

...and Murrayfield..

...and the strange gardened guest house...

To Roseburn...

...to have my feet "done" by the lovely Helen...

Just after nine, back out and to the Water of Leith, Anne having been texted re breakfast plans...

Calm and green...

To the bridge where the cover of "Riverleaves" was created...

Today with added waves...

As, down from the Modern Art Gallery came...

...a couple of black dogs, up for a swim...

..and a stick gathering exercise...

.

...joined by an already present black and white beastie..

Onwards...

...to Dean Village...

..and good views of the Church above the river...

...and looking back too...

The bridge parapet...

..and past St Bernard's Well into Stockbridge, with "Starlightnight" just coming to an end...

A look round the charity shops  while awaiting the arrival of the Exec Producer...

CDs bought of course...

Italian fascistic composer Malipiero sampled, along with a 3CD set of Girl Groups of the 60s (later proclaimed by Anne to be one of my worst ever purchases)...

Breakfast at Patisserie Florentin before heading to the nearby retail park in search of plastic sheeting...

Successful - and a non-related possible plan re CD storage hatching...

It will probably come to nought...

A look at laptops - so hard when I know so little about computers - nothing decided...

However, we did come a way with a new sound system for the kitchen...

..and a groovy non-cat based clock...

Meg the (real) Black Cat watched as I rearranged the cupboards...

...noting some considerable time later that all her stuff was now in the bottom left corner...

Meanwhile, Anne was out artificial-creosoting the fence (you can't use real creosote any longer of course)...

In the evening a curry and a couple of programmes in the BBC's Germany series...

Hopefully it will not convince British holiday makers to flock there...

Prog Rock willie sent some stuff through via Dropbox - good Rush covers stuff and soon to be in the UK impressive Aussie post rockers Sleepmakeswaves...

And in the footie, newly promoted Queens off to a good start in the Scottish Championship, beating newly relegated Dundee 4-3 at home (after being 1-0 down and 4-1 up - rollercoaster)...

Lights out...

Highlight of the day : Long walk...
