Music and postcards...

Playlist
Herman Van Veen - Elf Lieder
Herman Van Veen - Heute Abend
Strauss, R - Sonata For Piano; 5 Piano Pieces

A bit of a mess at the desk this morning...

..and that's after some tidying...

This for no apparent reason...

Who's this?

Meg the Black Cat of course...

At lunchtime, a good walk - during which a £3 disc of Glenn Gould playing some Richard Strauss was purchased at Fopp....

Recorded just a couple of weeks before Gould's death, it's beautiful in places but also contains the acquired taste requiring singing along which features so prominently in many of his recordings...

This evening out to Norman Lamont's show with John and Ali but, due to a previously arranged engagement up Corstorphine Hill with chum Lynn, no attendance from the Exec Producer...

A good show of around 9 or 10 songs, most of which Big Jim Whyte sang due to Norman's ongoing lurgi attack...

I found the onstage presence of a signer for the deaf a little weird and distracting but enjoyed the evening nonetheless, availing myself of a Lamont CD of the featured songs - plus postcards of artwork produced exclusively for the show...

A nice touch...

A lift home from the Impossibles to get to work again on the computer...

Onwards and upwards...

Highlight of the Day : New Gould...
