Started the day with the 1980s-2000s Alban Berg Quartett on EMI and ended up ordering an 8 disc box of their 70's output on Teldec...

Analog recordings with the original 1970-79 line up, much praised in the reviews...

Will be interesting to hear, compare and contrast...

Out with Annie...

Coffee...

The old man in the left picture seemed to be in the coffee venue...

A music magazine had been bought - with a disc of symphonies by Scandinavians Nielsen and Sibelius - I seem to have been acquiring quite a number of Scandinavian composers' works recently...

Swithering over subscribing to this - 13 editions a year with a disc of complete works on the cover of each for £32...

We'll see...

This taken just before the great standing on the wobbly bit of the base of the table and spilling a goodly amount of coffee over everything incident...

Today was warm but not particularly sunny...

Cooling towers were most likely being called into action...

Back home, a second new disc for August was behind the door - weird and wonderful quartets by the LaSalles...

Much enjoyed...

In the evening, back to town and out for dinner at Circa Cafe, next door to our first record shop, the rear of which was behind the multi coloured gate...

Then, up to the Pleasance...

..for the Festival has started and the London invasion is well and truly under way...

Very few Scottish accents in earshot...

Richard Herring's new stand up was our target...

"We're All Going to Die" was a brilliant one hour show, looking at the absurdities of our beliefs about what happens after we die - considering no one knows...

The message was well and truly that there's nothing we can do about dying but there's plenty we can do about living...

The miracle will not be some imagined post death never ending paradise into infinity but is actually the few short years of our existence...

Home and enjoying the free programme and looking forward to the over 2 hour free DVD featuring the best bits of his last 10 Fringe Stand Up shows which Mr Herring is giving out to his audiences this year instead of spending £2,000 on lampost flyers...

Then , more comedy from "Don't Trust the B**** in Apartment 23" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm"...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Richard Herring...
